Robin Altman is pursuing a Master's degree at the Columbia School of Social Work, studying Policy with a concentration in Contemporary Social Issues. She graduated in 2015 from the University of Colorado at Boulder and credits her research interests of cult involvement and societal facilitation of violence to her dual degree in History and Psychology. She hopes to further her academic interests by working to understand individual propensity for violence, the effects of violence on children and communities, and adolescent trauma. She loves working with adolescents and has worked in refugee resettlement, leadership development, social justice, education, and community engagement both domestically and internationally. Robin is passionate about advocacy, policy, and anything that reminds her of the mountains.
