Naomi Edwards is a current MSW candidate focusing on health, mental health, and disabilities within the advanced clinical practice track at Columbia University. She recently graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and leadership. Naomi is interested in how trauma, grief, and loss can impact mental health, focusing on self-esteem and perceived self-worth. Her previous work has focused on supporting families with loved ones who have early-onset dementia diagnoses. She was particularly interested in working with adolescents whose parents developed early-onset dementia and understanding how their relationship changed. She is passionate about advocating for those who need their voices amplified and helping struggling youth. She hopes her career will lead her further into the field of supporting individuals experiencing trauma, grief, and loss.
