Mina Mohammadi is currently a rising junior majoring in Politics and Data Science with a minor in Peace and Conflict Studies at New York University. She is interested in the intersection of AI and its policy implications, especially against BIPOC communities. Mina hopes to work in data journalism, with a specialization in Middle East affairs. Eventually, she hopes to work in technology policy development, with a concentration in internet rights and censorship in the Middle East region.
Alongside working as a research assistant with SAFElab, Mina has been working professionally in journalism. Recently, her bylines include NBC News, Salon, Washington Square News, The Journal of Politics and International Affairs and CityLimits.
