Maia Robinson is currently a sophomore studying sociology at Barnard College. She is passionate about understanding the formation and perpetuation of racial stereotypes and how they threaten youth’s success. Also how racism affects emotional literacy specifically in Black homes. Maia is curious about how her generation will change the landscape of politics and media.
Alongside working as a research assistant in SAFElab, Maia is the Vice President of the Columbia University Badminton Club, Vice President of a volunteer organization servicing Washington Heights’ MS324: Math Mentors, and a Barnard tour guide.
